I'm very pleased to announce that I finally got the Pin It buttons working on the home pages of Blogspot blogs! Now, when your visitors click the Pin It buttons next to your images, the Pinmarklet will grab the permalink of the post containing the image, no matter what page the image is on. This means you can include the buttons on your home page!
The Add Pin It Buttons to Your Blogger Posts code and tutorial are now updated, better (and easier) than ever!
If You've Already Installed the Pin It Buttons...
Delete your current HTML/Javascript gadget containing the Pin It code. Then, replace it with a new HTML/Javascript gadget containing the code from the updated tutorial page. DO NOT paste the new code into the old gadget, it won't work properly if you do.
Please be sure to see the compatibility note on the updated tutorial page, even if you had the old buttons working on your blog. The new homepage-friendly button code is a bit different and has new (but very simple) requirements.

Now's the time! The tutorial is simple and your visitors can Pin directly from your home page now.
Future Developments
I've had many requests for custom Pin It buttons that show when an image is hovered, and I'm working on it. Believe me, my friends, you'll be the first to know when I've figured it out :)
